Now I finaly can buy my absolute favorite magazine - Kinfolk - in my local kiosk, they are
now distributing the magazine:

Kinfolk volume seven really matches the outside of Kihoskh. Their tables and benches have just been paintet for spring in this great green color, and we are looking forward to warmer weather and cozy gatherings at the lawn infront of Kihoskh.

Danish Smørrebrød with a Canadian touch.
These pictures have just been published in the Canadian magazine Châtelaine

I have such a nice story to tell here. I have got myself a great new friend on the other side of the world - a Pinterest friend. Early last summer I was contacted by a guy from Pinterest - we had for some time been repinning each others pictures on our boards on Pinterest. So I got very surprised and very glad when he send me an e-mail. He is from Montreal and was going to spent his summer in Copenhagen - my city.
Blake Mackay, my new friend is a very talented food stylist and recipe designer, and works for a Canadian television channel and for various magazines. He asked if we should meet up in Copenhagen and do a food shoot together, some Nordic food with his Canadian touch. We went to my friends countryside house and had a very creative and fantastic day together.
Blake cooked and styled Danish Smørrebrød with his Canadien touch. In case you shouldnt know, Smørrebrød is an open sandwich. Slices of ryebread, buttered and here topped with smoked Macrel and eggs, lever pate with bacon and marinated beetroots, chopped fried beef with gurkins and egg york. We served it all with a classic green salad - grandmother salad, and for the sweet tooth we made a even more classic fruit dessert. Here are the Danish names:
- Ristet røget Makrel med æggestand og purløg.
- Pariser Bøf med syltede agurker, peberrod og rå æggeblomme
- Leverpostej med bacon, syltede rødbeder og rødkål
- Grøn salat med mormor dressing
- Rødgrød med fløde
For the love of new friends.

New bakery "Brød" in Copenhagen.
Aller Media, Dk has come out with a new lifestyle magazine "Countryliv", it has earlier come out
as an insert in Isabellas Magazine, but now for the first time it has been launched as a seperate
magazine. The first January issue is about bread and baking, and I have been so lucky to have
an article in this first issue.
My neighbourhood has got a new fantastic bakery called "Brød". They make the most fantastic
bread, their speciality is a big rustic bread, with the perfect soft crum and crispy crust. The people
behind the new bakery are Keld Petersen and his girlfriend Camilla Lilleør, they are known from
the popular kiosk "Kihoskh".
"Kihoskh" have had a big impact on the local athmosphere at Vesterbro area, the Copenhagen West End where Keld opened it back in 1986. Pepole are hanging out there, they sell a good coffee, have the biggest assortment of special beers, sell unique magazines and they are supporting local artists by selling their music and books, and in summertimes there are concerts and book launchings. All in all a very creative place. And now they have become bakers as well, and all the creativity is following along.
I have shot the following pictures from the bakery "BRØD".
Locations:
Brød
Enghave Plads 7
Copenhagen V
Kihoskh
Sønder Boulevard 53
Copenhagen V

I have become addicted to my little 10 o'clock morning coffee and "Rughapers" from Brød bakery,
"Rughapser" is a little rye bread with dates and figs, and tastes fantastic with butter and a good
cheese and sips of good coffee. My first ever Sticky Bun I got from Brød bakery, and now I am
hooked on them as well.
Keld have been so kind to give out the bakerys recipe for Sticky Buns, you can find it at my other

Early signs of spring.
January in Denmark is cold, dark and long, so just small signs of spring can make you hopefull, hopefull that spring is on its way. The nature is still sleeping and very frosty, but we start to see signs of springtime......in the flowershops. Now we can buy the lovely Magnolia branches or the mysterious Helleborus and put them up in our livingrooms
and dream of spring, that will start in two months` time.......
Fantastic Kinfolk
Saturday I rushed to the postoffice to pick up the latest Kinfolk magazine and went to my local café.
Kinfolk Magazine and a nice coffee really saved this grey January day in Copnehagen. What a fantastic magazine, great poetic pictures and well written articles, Kinfolk warms my heart.

Isabellas Magazine and the color fabric - Skovfryd.
I have been so lucky to visit the color fabric again shooting pictures for this article for the Danish Magazine Isabellas January 2013 issue. It is always such a pleasure to visit them at Skovgaard & Frydensberg, being meet with so much friendly- and helpfullness. And I feel very privileged to style and shoot all their nice things at the fabric.
Skovfryd as it is also called dates back to 1905 and they have keept a lot of the originally things. They make paint the old-fashioned way, based on linseed oil. They deliver paint to Danish castles, Tivoli in Copenhagen, Green to all the park benches, and to a lot of the facades of old town Copenhagen.
